Mobility is revolutionizing the quality and delivery of patient care. Clinicians and care providers are increasingly adopting mobile devices, switching from device to device, depending on the task and location. The shift towards mobile devices has not only improved clinician workflow and quality of care, it has also improved the work-life balance and performance of clinicians. MobileIron enables healthcare organizations to support this increasingly mobile clinical workforce. With MobileIron, healthcare organizations can securely enable clinician mobility, while ensuring that patient data is secure and in compliance with all healthcare regulations.
The Ascom Myco 3 smartphone works with MEDITECH’s Expanse Point of Care solution to enable nurses, LPNs, therapists, aides, and other clinicians to check in and document on patients without having to use a workstation on wheels. Clinicians enjoy more facetime with their patients by completing most tasks on their device including receiving alerts, documenting vitals and interventions, reviewing records, and verifying and administering medications using the built-in barcode scanner.
Phlebotomists can also use the Ascom Myco 3 to access MEDITECH’s Phlebotomy Handheld solution. They can access a real-time list of specimens awaiting collection and print labels at the patient’s bedside. In addition, phlebotomists can use the barcode scanner to verify patient identification prior to specimen draw.
