Ascom d83 EX: ATEX-certified

The d83 EX variant is ATEC-, IECEx, CSA and UK Ex-certified as intrinsically safe in explosive/hazardous atmospheres. Because of its exceptionally rugged and sealed housing, the d83 EX will not release enough electrical or thermal energy to ignite a hazardous atmosphere—even in a fault scenario. The DECT base stations is also available in ATEX-certified housing variants. Together, they make the d83 EX ideal for workplaces such as chemical plants, petrochemical facilities, mines, mills, storage units, and other industrial locations
